In Spring 2022, R2R trainees took on the challenge to plan an event and workshop that would bridge gaps between the community, local tribes, ecologists, artists, and land management agencies: Art + Ecology: Stories that build connections. The event showcased student-created art that sought to illustrate the complex, scientific processes in our many diverse and local ecosystems. The R2R 2020 cohort even created a “Ridge to Reef” model to highlight those diverse habitats, using reclaimed and repurposed materials.
Thank you to the R2R trainees and all others who made this event possible and for continuing with our mission for interdisciplinary work to address environmental issues! Exceptional work!
